Privacy Policy
What personal data this site collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how to get it removed.
1. Who is responsible for your data
DevSource.DEV LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, registered at 34 N Franklin Ave, Ste 687 #5011, Pinedale, WY 82941, United States, is the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at info@devsource.dev.
We are a one-person engineering business. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, and there is no marketing team passing it around.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect:
- Name and email address — required, so we can reply;
- Company name — optional;
- Your message — optional, and whatever you choose to put in it.
Please do not include sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential third-party data in that message. It is a contact form, not a secure channel.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrived. It collects a randomised identifier stored in cookies, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the pages you visit.
Analytics runs from the moment the page loads. We show a cookie notice, but it is a notice rather than a consent gate — dismissing it does not change what is collected. If you would rather not be measured, the opt-out methods in our Cookie Notice work, and they work whether or not you dismiss the banner.
Booking a call
Calls are scheduled through Cal.com, embedded on this site. When you book, you provide your name, email and chosen time directly to Cal.com, which processes that data under its own privacy policy. We receive the booking details.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To deliver work you have engaged us for. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving our own website.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only used the contact form.
4. Who else processes it
We rely on a small number of service providers, all of whom process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database hosting; contact form submissions are stored here.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
- Cal.com — call scheduling.
- Google Workspace — email correspondence.
We may also disclose data where required by law, or to professional advisers such as our accountant, bound by confidentiality.
5. Where your data goes
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States, and our service providers are predominantly US-based. Our founder works from Egypt and accesses correspondence and the CRM from there.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this means your data is transferred outside your jurisdiction. Where required, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for those transfers.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become engagements — kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records — kept for the engagement and then for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal-defence purposes, typically seven years from the end of the relationship.
- Analytics data — retained according to the Google Analytics retention setting on our property.
You can ask us to delete your data earlier — see below.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- Have inaccurate data corrected;
- Have your data deleted;
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent where we relied on it, without affecting past processing;
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents additionally have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any of these, email info@devsource.dev. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first — normally by replying from the address you originally contacted us from.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored in a database protected by row-level security policies, and access to our CRM is restricted to named accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is the reason for the request in section 2 not to send sensitive material through the contact form.
9. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected in that date, so it is worth re-reading if you are about to submit something.
